SierraSnowSoaps

Welcome to my online store. I make handmade Shea Butter Soap using snow I gather in the mountains surrounding Lake Tahoe.  SierraSnowSoaps is a woman owned business based in the Carson Valley. I make my handmade soap in the town of Gardnerville, Nevada, at the foot of the Sierra Nevada Mountains.

After gathering snow in the pristine Sierra Nevada mountains near Lake Tahoe , I melt, boil and use the water in my handmade soaps made using the cold process method in small batches to insure the highest quality. The cold process soap method is slowly melting solid oils and butters and mixing them with the room temp alkaline solution. This insures the natural glycerin is not removed and makes a naturally moisturizing soap. Using all natural ingredients, my soaps are mild and luxurious. A blend of olive, palm, coconut, rice bran, and castor oils, shea butter, essential oils or fragrance oils, chamomile, calendula, or lavender flowers make my handmade bars of soap a pleasant and moisturizing experience. After using my soap you will never want to go back to store bought detergent bars again!  I use the highest quality ingredients and buy from local suppliers when available. I also use Free Trade Shea Butter in my butters, balms, lotions, and scrubs.

My goal is to make the purest, mildest, most affordable luxurious handmade soap available for every man, woman and child. I will continue to search out ways to give back to my family and the community. All the products on my site are handmade from scratch by me and are tested on family and friends, never on animals.
